Not knowing what happened, Song Xiaohai discusses this with Jason, Lin Chong and Sun Erniang. Finally, Jason sends Lin Chong, Sun Erniang and Song Xiaohai to Tianjin in the Red Dynasty. As Song Xiaohai, Lin Chong and Sun Erniang encounter some long knife-wielding thugs hacking people in the Red Dynasty, at the critical moment, they have to return to Canada.

When Song Xiaohai, Lin Chong and Sun Erniang return to the Red Dynasty again, due to the chain interferences caused by the large explosion to the space-times, they go back to the Red Dynasty one month and half ago. The three of them start to investigate Haiyue and to collect evidence of Haiyue illegally storing dangerous goods and being covered up by all the relevant government departments and agencies.

Lin Chong see the popular movie star Qian Xiaoyu on TV and finds her resemble his late wife. Li Yan discovers that Haiyue illegally stores dangerous goods. Song Xiaohai hands Haiyue’s internal documents to an inspection team member surnamed Zhao. However, Zhao has already been bought over by Secretary Lin. At this time, there is one month left before the large explosion takes place. Xiaohai feels that he can no longer wait, so he finds Li Yan once again. At this moment, feeling insecure about his position, Secretary Lin starts to plan a coup d’état. He plans to use Haiyue’s warehouses to store arms and ammunition, to kill the Chinese president in an explosion, when the latter comes to Tianjin to attend a meeting during the Beidaihe meeting period.

Qian Xiaoyu inadvertently learns about Secretary Lin’s plot of assassination and coup d’état. She hurriedly comes to inform Song Xiaohai. Song Xiaohai, Lin Chong, Sun Erniang and Jason break into Haiyue’s warehouses at night to obtain evidence. However, they become surrounded by the Chinese Communist Party’s armed police forces. Sun Erniang and Lin Chong manage to escape, whereas Song Xiaohai and Jason are caught and jailed. And Li Yan is also secretly arrested by an assassin sent by Chief Chen of the Public Security Bureau.

Lin Chong and Sun Erniang break into the prison and rescue Song Xiaohai and Jason. They are unable to get in contact with Li Yan, so they decide to go to Haiyue’s warehouses (the explosion site) to prevent the explosion from taking place. However, they find Li Yan in one warehouse. They fail to dismantle the bomb in time. At the moment of the explosion, they activate the time-travel machine...
